Guatemalan Sewing Project
If you are reading this you may be thinking about assisting us in providing much needed bibs and diaper covers to an orphanage in Guatemala. Many of the children have swallowing disabillities and require specialized bibs to keep them dry during meals. We have created a pattern that seems to tackle this problem.....but it is difficult to keep up with the demand. Diaper Covers
This project is a bit more challenging , but very much needed. Since the staff of the orphanage are unable to use disposable diapers, they must use a cloth diaper cover with "rags" as inserts. We developed a pattern that had a three layer lining of fleece, diaper cloth and a special rubber material that seems to keep the moisure away from the skin. (It also needed to be able to last with the high temperature dryers.) If you or your group would like to take on this project, that would be wonderful!
